Keep the Glow Going
WHAT TO KNOW AFTER YOUR TREATMENT
Everything you need to protect your results and keep your skin looking its best.
-
After any facial treatment, I recommend keeping your skincare routine simple and gentle for at least 48 hours, or longer if your skin still feels sensitive.
Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs and other strong active ingredients during this time. Stick with a gentle cleanser, moisturizer and SPF, keep your skin well hydrated, and avoid picking, scrubbing or over-exfoliating your skin.
This applies to all of my facial treatments, including treatments focused primarily on facial massage, lymphatic drainage, sculpting, buccal massage and microcurrent.
Everyone’s skin is different, and your aftercare may vary depending on your skin and the treatments performed during your appointment. When in doubt, wait until your skin feels completely back to normal before reintroducing stronger active products.
-
Drink plenty of water following your treatment and continue to stay well hydrated.
Mild flushing or tenderness from facial or intraoral massage can occasionally occur and should be temporary. Avoid aggressive facial massage immediately after your appointment and follow the general facial aftercare guidelines above.
-
Because Triple Threat combines facial lymphatic sculpting, microcurrent and Endospheres, drink plenty of water following your treatment and continue to stay well hydrated.
Follow the general facial aftercare guidelines above and avoid aggressive facial massage immediately afterward. Mild temporary redness or flushing can occur.
-
Keep your skin well hydrated and follow the general facial aftercare guidelines above. There is typically little to no downtime following microcurrent, so you can otherwise return to your normal daily activities.
-
Your freshly exfoliated skin may be more sensitive following dermaplaning. Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs and other strong active ingredients for at least 48 hours, or longer if your skin still feels sensitive.
Be especially diligent about SPF and limit unnecessary direct sun exposure. Avoid excessive heat, steam, saunas and intense workouts for the first 24–48 hours, particularly if your skin feels warm, sensitive or flushed.
Do not pick, scrub or manually exfoliate your skin. Some temporary sensitivity, tightness or mild redness can occur. Wait until your skin feels completely comfortable before reintroducing stronger active products.
-
Because DiamondGlow exfoliates and resurfaces the skin, avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs and other strong active ingredients for at least 48 hours, or longer if your skin still feels sensitive.
Keep your skin hydrated, wear SPF daily and avoid unnecessary sun exposure. Temporary redness, tightness or sensitivity can occur following treatment. Wait until your skin feels back to normal before restarting stronger active ingredients.

Because I Want It All combines several modalities and is customized to your skin, your exact aftercare may vary depending on what we do during your appointment.
Follow the general facial aftercare guidelines, keep your skin well hydrated and use SPF. Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs and other strong active ingredients for at least 48 hours, or longer if your skin still feels sensitive.
If your treatment includes lymphatic drainage, be sure to drink plenty of water afterward. I’ll let you know if anything performed during your facial requires additional or extended aftercare.
-
Keep your skincare routine simple and avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs and other strong active ingredients for at least 48 hours, or longer if your skin still feels sensitive.
Don’t pick or squeeze blemishes or areas where extractions were performed. Some temporary redness following extractions is normal. Keep your skin hydrated and use SPF daily.
If an area where an extraction was performed is still irritated or healing after 48 hours, continue to keep that area gentle and avoid active ingredients until it has settled.

BODY TREATMENTS
-
Drink plenty of water before and after your Body Flow & Sculpt treatment and continue to stay well hydrated throughout the day.
Some temporary redness or tenderness from the mechanical massage may occur. Listen to your body after treatment and avoid anything that feels uncomfortable or overly strenuous immediately afterward.
If any area feels particularly tender after your treatment, give it time to settle before doing intense exercise or additional massage/bodywork.
-
For the first 24–48 hours, be gentle with your lashes and avoid excessive heat, steam, saunas and very hot showers around the eye area.
While you may have heard that lashes absolutely cannot get wet after a lash lift, a little water is not going to ruin your results. Avoid prolonged moisture, rubbing or manipulating the lashes, and try not to sleep directly on them during the first night or two.
Avoid heavy oils and rich products around the lashes initially. Gently brush your lashes into place with a clean spoolie as needed. After the initial 24–48 hours, use a lash conditioner to help keep your lashes soft and healthy. I can give you information on which lash conditioners are good for lifted lashes.
-
Avoid rubbing, scrubbing or exfoliating the brow area immediately after your tint.
Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids and other strong skincare products directly over the brows for the first 24–48 hours, as these can contribute to faster fading. Be gentle when cleansing the area to help maintain your results.
BROWS & LASHES
-
Keep freshly waxed skin clean and avoid rubbing, picking or exfoliating the area immediately after your appointment.
Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs and other potentially irritating active ingredients on the treated area for at least 48 hours, or longer if the skin still feels sensitive or irritated.
For the first 24–48 hours, avoid excessive heat, hot tubs, saunas, intense exercise and prolonged sun exposure while the skin is freshly waxed.
Wear SPF on exposed areas and wait until the skin feels completely calm before resuming exfoliation or stronger active products.

HAVE A QUESTION AFTER YOUR TREATMENT?
Some temporary redness, sensitivity, flushing or tenderness can be normal after certain treatments.
If you experience anything that feels unusual, seems more intense than expected, isn’t beginning to settle, or you’re simply unsure about something, please reach out to me. I’d always rather you check in than worry about it at home.
These are general aftercare recommendations. Depending on your skin, the treatment performed and how your skin responds, I may give you additional or more specific instructions at your appointment.
